There is belief that when rein snaps are put directly on the bit, the metal to metal rubbing caused by movement from the horse produce a 'tuning fork effect' causing small vibrations that are then entered through the bones of the horse's lower jaw causing irritation and discomfort. This product helps disrupt this connection

These Bit Quiets or also known as Slobber straps will prevent the oscillation from transferring to your horse’s head.

Our Bit Quiets are made of 5/8" Beta Biothane.
This Item adds about 3" worth of space from bit to rein. SOLD AS A PAIR.

If you like the idea of not having rein clips directly on the bit, these are great. I also use them for a pop of color because I'm extra.

They were easy to put on and use. Could feel an almost instant difference in my mare as we were going down the trail with her being more relaxed. Also now I don't hear the soft  rattling as we go down the trail

These quiet bits/slobber straps have made a huge difference in my horses.  They would occasionally throw their heads, but no more!  I never thought that such a simple extension would literally quiet their heads, but they do.  I just did a 50 this past weekend without a single head toss.  Highly recommended!
